Hi, I'm Michael Sapsed. I have been a keen photographer for almost 30 years. In the 1980′s I set-up a darkroom and experimented with many darkroom techniques whilst developing and printing B&W and Colour prints and slides. I enjoy taking and displaying photos.
Northgate Grading
Well done to all 48 club members who passed their grading on the 19th December. The standard was high with 2 distinctions, 33 merits and 13 passes. 2015 Trophy Winners
The 2015 Northgate Karate Club Trophy Winners. Photos taken before the Northgate grading on the 19th December 2015. Well done to all club members including those who won trophies but were unable to attend the photo shoot. It’s a great achievement individually and for the club.
Orwell Juniors Grading
Well done to all 13 club members for passing their grading, especially Claudia and Ali on achieving distinctions. Those grading included: Fazil Akyol, Lauren Boyce, Henry Boyce, Alasdair Burnet-Hall, Ruby Gooden, Edward Harris, Laila Hollis, Samuel Lawley, Ali Lowther, Dere Lowther, Alex Morgan, Claudia Owles and Rufus Springall. Instructors were Bill Williams and Christopher Sapsed.
Orwell Red Dragons Grading
Congratulations to all 10 club members for passing their grading on the 4th December. Red Dragons included: William Blundell, Andrew Bodunrin, Jim Notcutt, Aidan Douse, Georgie Hollis, William Matthews, William Rivett, Lloyd Sales, Henry Smoker and Katrina Stennett. Instructors were Bill Williams and Christopher Sapsed.
Red Dragons Grading
A selection of photos taken at the Red Dragons Grading on Saturday 7th November 2015. Well done to all 12 Red Dragons for achieving their next belt. Grades achieved were: One Distinction (Daniel White), eight Merits and 3 Passes. On the grading panel were Bill and Steve.

Congratulations to Justin and Oscar Hunt for achieving their 1st Dan at the grading today. Commiserations to Lizzy for just missing out on her 1st Dan and let’s all hope for celebrations next time around. Supporting Justin, Oscar and Lizzy at the grading were Bill Williams, Gerry and Teliah Turner, Chris Stott, Christopher Sapsed, Gillian and Adam Wreford, Vaugh Freeman, Fiona and Ruby Hunt.
